About Nawashahu Yawanawá
Nawashahu Yawanawá is a prominent leader known for her efforts in preserving the Yawanawá culture. As a cultural ambassador, she has participated in various international events to promote the Yawanawá way of life and advocate for indigenous rights, with a special focus on the roles of women.
About Ykashahu Yawanawá
Ykashahu is the middle daughter of Biraci Nixiwaka and Putanny. Since a very young age, Yka has been following in the footsteps of her parents, and nowadays travels around Brazil and abroad to share her people’s culture and spirituality. With an amazing voice and beautiful guitar playing, she represents the talented younger Yawanawá generation as a future Yawanawá chief, as well as the incredible feminine power of the nation. Ykashahu carries the energy and ways of her mother, great Yawanawá chief Putanny, and is following in her steps to become one of the leaders of the nation in the future.
About Mukaveine Yawanawá
Mukaveine Yawanawá is a community leader and environmental activist. She advocates for the protection of the Amazon rainforest and works on educational initiatives to empower the youth of the Yawanawá tribe. Her efforts focus on integrating traditional knowledge with modern education, ensuring a holistic approach to learning.
