Remembering and Reviving the Ancient Ways Through Modern Festival Culture
With Jenna Ansell & George Barker from Medicine Festival
In these times of great potential, yet also separation, individualism and extremes, how can we way-find and remember what's been forgotten in order to not only survive but thrive? What are the New Old Ways? How can modern day festivals and gatherings help play a role in culture crafting and remembering our appropriate relationship with nature, while weaving community orientated solutions into existence?
Jenna and George are Co-Founders and Co-Directors of Medicine festival - a 9,000 person annual gathering born out of a collective prayer that is in service to the growing worldwide evolutionary movement that remembers our animate consciousness in relation to the living world. Medicine aims to inspire positive change and create meaningful connections in this great time of shift. Through its annual five-day festival, alongside online offerings and intimate events, Medicine has fostered community, bridged cultures, and united indigenous wisdom keepers, visionaries, artists, and changemakers from diverse traditions across the globe. Medicine has also raised over £100k for global indigenous communities.
